Sony’s subsidiary, Aiwa, has announced it latest media player that some might just mistake as the latest baby monitor technology. It’s the Aiwa Aihua AW930 nicknamed “TV baby” for its TV tuning capabilities.

This unsightly piece of equipment packs a 3.5-inch TFT displaying at a meager 320×240 pixel resolution; pixelation anyone?  File support is admiral with support for MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC audio formats and RM, RMVB, AVI, and FLV video formats.

Additional features include photo viewing capabilities, an FM radio, and an e-book reader.

Available in a 4GB storage capacity, the player features an accompanying SD expansion slot.  While we’re thankful that we won’t be expecting a Stateside release, the AW930 will retail for 499 yuan (~$73 USD) with an undisclosed release date.
