Speculation of a a T8 player is officially more than speculation after iRiver announced it’s new iRiver T8 audio-only MP3 player which doubles-up as a USB storage dongle.

The entry-level player is available in a single storage size (4GB) but in a selection of colors not limited to white, black, pink, light blue, light green, yellow, and orange. Making the most of its size, the T8 comes equipped with a 1-inch monochrome OLED (128 × 64 pixels) display.

As we come to expect with iRiver products, the T8 supports a number of file formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, APE, and FLAC. Choose from either normal, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic, soft, DBB, and SRS WOW HD with the player’s numerous audio presets.

With a battery-life of 17 hours of audio on a single charge, this player does not cut any corners. Weighing in at 26 grams, the T8 has dimensions of just 83.4 × 26.8 × 12.7 mm. Additional features include an FM tuner/recorder and voice recorder.
