Hallods FH8800 lacks the curves

Japanese-based Hallods has just released its latest FH8800 PMP player. It comes on the back of the F43 which was outed at the end of last year. In fact, both players are rather similar to one another.

With its rather rigid edges and pale white complexion, the FH8800 comes fitted with a 4.3-inch TFT (800 x 480 pixels) display.  Even better, the player supports Full HD video playback (1920 x 1080p).

The rectangular-cuboid-shaped device packs 16GB of storage expandable with a microSD slot. It is surprising that there isn’t enough space to pack a 320GB 1.8-inch HDD instead, ey?

File format support is admirable with support for but not limited to MPEG-4, FLV, AVI, MOV, WMV, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, APE, WAV, OGG, and the usual image formats amongst some more obscure data formats.

Additional features include an FM tuner, e-book reader, and HDMI output. The player is now available directly through Hallods where the playing is retailing for 26,000 Yen (or ~$289 USD).
