It looks like the mysterious iriver K1 (also known as the iriver P50) is a step closer to being unveiled. We last revealed that the K1 would feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen with integrated WiFi.
The WiFi-capable K1 has since received approval via the Telecommunications Commission of Korea. ‘Proof of Certification’ as seen below verifies the WiFi capabilities of the upcoming device.
No word on a release date, yet we can be rest assured that those fortunate Koreans will be able to get their hands on the device before the end of the year. The rest of us will likely have to wait until the new year. More specs please…

Let’s not forget about the iriver K2. While the Teclast T58 might be the first Android PMP, it is in for some competition. The K2, set to be powered by the Google OS, is anticipated for release in the new year.
