A relatively unknown company, INS Mobile, has released its newest player called the PMP ividi. With a Spanish-sounding name, this player should not to be mistaken for the newest player to come out of Madrid – it’s 100% Korean.
The ividi features a lengthy 3.3-inch WQVGA AMOLED display (480 × 272 resolution) coupled alongside a microSD slot for storage expansion and a DMB-TV tuner. Unfortunately, the microSD slot means nothing while the storage capacity remain a mystery.
The built in accelerometer switches the screen orientation from portrait to landscape or vice-versa with the flick of a wrist. Not to be outdone, the ividi includes built-in WiFi, a radio tuner, and the company’s QSound™ technology for an improved, sounding experience.
Expect support for MP4 video files as a minimum with support for a variety of other multimedia formats including e-books. No word on a release date, price, or availability.
