Under a pseudo name, Newman have announced their newest MP3 player called the Newsmy B30. The B30 model number brings back memories of iRiver’s B30, but the model numbers are where the comparisons start and end.
The player enclosed in a hideous, plastic, purple enclosure with an accompanying small, pixelated screen, encapsulates a meager 2GB storage capacity with support for MP3, WMA, APE, and FLAC files.
Additional features incorporated into the device include a voice-recorder, e-book reader, and power-saving modes.
From a company that has pushed out the likes of the Newman A13 PMP, the B30 is a player constructed for all the wrong reasons. If any PR companies are looking for examples of negative PR, we think we just found one.
No word on price or availability, but don’t expect to see the B30 outside of Asia.
