Philips GoGear Muse 16GB

Philips has unveiled its newest player to continue the GoGear series – the Philips GoGear Muse. This sexy player packs a 16GB storage capacity which is slightly disappointing considering the 32GB flash memory available.

It’s not all bad, the GoGear Muse carries on the tradition of supporting any format you throw at it including BMP, GIF, PNG, MP3, AAC, OGG, APE, Real Video and Real Audio formats.

Sporting a sleek 3-inch display, the Muse is covered in a flashy, gloss finish. Navigation is made possible via button controls situated to the right of the display.

Expect around 25 hours of audio and 5 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge.

Dig deep in your pockets if you’re going to splash out for this one; the good looks come with a price. With Microsoft’s new Zune HD coming in at a lower price, it will prove difficult convincing consumers to cough up for this baby. Although hitting Singapore for $244 (USD), we don’t expect to see a North American release date.

[EDIT:] You might be pleased to know that there is a 32GB option available, both the 32GB and 16GB are now available for pre-order on Amazon UK. Check out the video promo
