Since the leak of the Samsung R0 at the end of July, little has been heard about this swanky little player. The player which is speculated to circulate worldwide has hit Samsung’s Russian site (thanks gmp3). Did anybody say, “Coming soon?”

Samsung YP R0

Also coming to light is a Samsung YP-R0 promotional video which has been released in French (which only increases our speculation of a worldwide release).  Unfortunately, still no news on a North American release or literature indicating the sorts.

Recall that the Samsung R0 features:

  • 2.6-inch TFT LCD screen displaying at 320 × 240 pixels
  • 8 GB of storage expandable via microSD
  • support for AAC, ASF, FLAC, MP3, OGG, WAV and WMA audio files
  • support for MPEG4, Divx, Xvid, WMV, H.264, and RMVB video files
  • continuous audio playback of 35 hours audio or 5 hours of continuous video playback
  • FM Tuner and DNSe 3.0 sound engine
  • dimensions of 93 x 52 x 8.8 mm and weighing in at 60 grams
  • available in either black or pink
