Thanko Micro Sport Player is Bluetooth headset?

Well not quite a Bluetoth device, but the new Thanko Micro Sport MP3 Player 2 is awfully reminiscent of those ugly Bluetooth headsets. We have high doubts that Thanko’s newest player will be the hottest fashion item this summer, but we’ve seen stranger things. The biggest eyebrow-raising fact to note is that this device is Thanko’s second iteration. The first one was a success? Really?

The big change for the newer model is that the classic earbud [earphones] have been replaced by an in-ear system instead. Similar to the previous version, the digital Audio player is made of two parts: the main body and a detachable earphone that plugs in through an audio input.

The Micro Sport Player has a rechargeable Lithium battery with a 4-hour long battery life, a 4GB storage capacity, support for MP3 and WMA files, and weighs in at a light 8 grams. Not that you’re too concerned, but the player is available exclusively in Japan.

No further images to ensue on this one…
