In an attempt to encourage consumers to purchase the new Transcend MP330, Transcend has released a promotional video of the nifty, little MP330.
Unfortunately, we can’t hide the fact that the MP330 is an expensive piece of gadgetry. Available through Amazon (UK), both the White (8GB) and Black (4GB) versions are listed on the online mega-store for £199.99 (or ~$325). Now consider that Creative’s new 32GB Zen X-Fi 2 is listed with the same retailer for £149.99.
In the video, the MP330 is marketed for its “slim, lightweight, portable” design and its “superb audio playback quality”. Nope, it doesn’t mention anything about being gold-plated.
Equipped with an OLED screen, the player comes available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB storage capacities. Audio file support is admirable with support for MP3, WMA, FLAC, WAV, and WMA-DRM10. The device doubles-up as a USB storage device enabling easy music transfer.
Additional features incorporated into the device include an FM tuner (with recording), an equalizer (with 7 presets), as well as an audio line-in option for recording from an input source.
With dimensions of 83×25.5×11.5 mm, the MP330 weighs in at a grand total of 25g – almost nothing.
